Sape is the traditional instrument of orang ulu community of central borneo.
This traditional use by the Kenyah, kelabit, Berawan, kayan, and all the orang ulu community in sarawak. The sape music make whos listen the music feel harmony and smooth. Not all the people ever listen the sape plucking. In sarawak(Borneo,Malaysia) World Rainforest Music festival is one of the traditional music festival and this festival invited all the country to perform their traditional music. World Rainforest Music Festival is one of the oppourtunity for you to look the Sape performence. This sape are specific for marriages, harvest, Ngajat(the worrior dance) and so on. I start try to playing sape is when i in form1 and my grandfather is master of sape.MR:)
